Lana Del Rey recently spoke to i-D about working on the Gucci Guilty campaign alongside Courtney Love and Jared Leto, as well as her upcoming album ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’.

How was shooting the campaign with Glen and Jared?
It was fun. I didn’t know what to expect or how much it would really look like a movie set – I grew up watching Jared and being on site with him was a trip. Also Glen was fantastic.

Did you feel like you were playing an archetypal LA character?
Yes! Even for me it was a lot. It felt very Lynchian, which is always fun to explore in Los Angeles in these dramatic settings like the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Why do you think Alessandro felt you encapsulated the fragrance?
He told me he felt like it was a scent for a woman who did whatever she wanted and I’m very much that person. I’m a little bit eclectic, a little different, and definitely on my own path, but at the same time I have a lot of feminine sensibilities and this particular fragrance is on the lighter side and a little bit younger because of that, so I think he thought I had the right spirit for it. Also he wanted to have a campaign that was centred around this concept of ‘Hollyweird,’ so I guess he thought I was just weird enough for it.

Lana Del Rey has been spotted out a few times this month. On January 17, she was seen giving a can of Pepsi to a homeless man after exiting a 7-Eleven.

On January 21, Lana attended her friend Sara’s 30th birthday celebrations which took place at Cha Cha Matcha before they moved over to the Chateau Marmont in the evening.

The following day, she was spotted leaving Hillsong Protestant church after a service.

Lana Del Rey released a new song on January 9, which has a wonderfully long title: ‘Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but I have it’. It clocks in at over 5 minutes in length, and revisits Lana’s roots with dark lyrics.

Lana’s upcoming album ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’ is set to be released on March 29. This date has only been confirmed by MTV, but Lana has liked tweets pertaining to this news.

The album’s lead single has not yet been released, but it could be very soon.

On December 10, Lana Del Rey attended the 2018 British Fashion Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London. Lana presented an award to friend Alessandro Michele for Gucci winning ‘Brand of the Year’. She was also seen with other designers such as Valentino Garavani.

Lana was photographed with the likes of Saoirse Ronan, Ellie Goulding and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley during the event. There were many notable other attendees including Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
