“Summertime Sadness” earned the Hot 100’s Airplay Gainer Award this week with 43 million impressions (up 43%, according to Nielsen BDS), surpassing Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”. “Summertime Sadness” also reached the Hot Digital Songs top 10, jumping from 13 to 9, selling over 101,000 downloads (up 24%). It also becomes Lana’s highest charting song in America, jumping seven places and achieving #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. 60% of the total sales comes from the remix by Cedric Gervais, which topped for the second consecutive week on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay, it also peaked at #4 on Dance/Eletronic Songs.
With these incredible results, “Summertime Sadness” became Lana’s third song to receive Gold certificate in US (Other songs to achive this certificate were “Video Games” and “Young & Beautiful”). Lana Del Rey also had another song on Billboard Hot 100 this week, “Young & Beautiful” re-entered on the charts at #95.
Lana Del Rey’s “Born To Die” sold 9,703 copies [up 7%] and moved from #40 to #28 on Billboard 200! “Paradise (EP)” also had a great week, moving to #145 in the same chart.
