Lana Del Rey has become the third woman in history to have an album spend at least 300 weeks in the Billboard 200 chart. Billboard has been publishing this chart weekly since 1956.
Her debut album ‘Born to Die’ joins the ranks of Adele’s ’21’ (359 weeks) and Carole King’s ‘Tapestry’ (318 weeks).
‘Born to Die’ – released January 27th 2012 – peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard chart dated February 18 2012. As of January 20 2018, the album clocks its 300th week as it rises from 148 to 141, with her newest album ‘Lust For Life’ sitting at 138.
