Lana Del Rey attended the premiere of her long-waited short movie ‘Tropico’ this Wednesday (December 4) at Cinerama Dome at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, California.
‘Tropico’ is an epic tale based on the biblical story of sin and redemption and features Lana Del Rey starring as Eve. The three-part story begins in the Garden of Eden and travels through time to modern-day Los Angeles. Lana’s visual sensibility is rich and fantastical, and the movie’s running themes stay true to the concepts of ‘Born to Die’ and ‘Born To Die The Paradise Edition’: the loss of innocence, good vs. evil, and trading beauty for money. The film puts closure on the two recordings, and features three songs from ‘The Paradise Edition’: “Body Electric,” “Gods and Monsters,” and “Bel Air.” It premieres this Thursday (December 5) at 8am PST / 11am EST / 4pm GMT only on VEVO.
Wearing a red velvet dress and a black pashmina, and with her hair styled into loose curls, Lana was mobbed by fans as she arrived with her boyfriend Barrie, her father Rob, sister Chuck, brother Charlie and management.
