This Friday (August 2), Lana Del Rey performed at one of the biggest American music festivals called Lollapalooza.

The crowd was chanting “Lana! Lana! Lana!” and 15 minutes later, she arrived!

Wearing a rather summery red gown dress with gold piping, and a white flowery headband, Lana Del Rey sauntered out like a silent picture movie star, right after her band was in place and with a cigarette in one hand, the show began. The stage lights created a warm glow around her while she sang «Cola», «Blue Jeans» and «Body Electric»!

Some songs after, the highlight of the concert was announced when Lana revealed she was about to sing «Young & Beautiful». Fittingly, “Beautiful,” from the recent remake of “The Great Gatsby,” has turned into a kind of empowerment anthem. “Will you still love me when I’m no longer young and beautiful,” many of the fans sang, their fists held high in the air. As a bonus, it also provoked a lot of reassuring hugs and some deep kisses from their boyfriends and girlfriends.

Lana Del Rey’s tunes, including «Ride», «Summertime Sadness» and «Video Games» which seemed to cure some summertime blues by allowing the fans to join in a kind of collective bummer sing-along. Walking away, all you could hear was the crowd collectively sighing, “I heard that you like the bad girls, honey, is that true?”
