The second release from Lana Del Rey’s forthcoming album ‘Ultraviolence’ premiered yesterday. The audio for the track, entitled ‘Shades of Cool’ is now live Vevo, ahead of the album release, set for 16th June.
The track features soaring vocals, and Lana’s signature haunting and melodic sound, which has seen her sell over 6 million albums, and 12 million singles globally. The video for ‘West Coast’, the first track to be released from the new album, has already had nearly 15 million views.
On May 24, 2014, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian got married at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy. And, the night before, May 23, they had a rehearsal and party at the Palace of Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors where Lana Del Rey performed.
As a surprise to Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, called Lana to sing Kim’s favorite song “Young and Beautiful”, “Summertime Sadness”, plus another love song, at the couple’s pre-wedding bash. And according to the Daily Mail, the performance was so romantic that “everyone was crying”!
“Young and Beautiful” has been Kim and Kanye’s song ever since it was played during their romantic San Francisco engagement on October 21, 2013 so Kanye planned to have Lana sing it live at their wedding.
Kim also tweeted about the song that she loves so much:
