Lana Del Rey announces ‘Tropico’ short film

Earlier this month we announced that Lana Del Rey was working on her upcoming new videographic project. Today (July 27), she confirmed that “Tropico” is a 30 minute film directed by Anthony Mandler, produced by Rick Rubin alongside Dan Heath, Tim Larcombe, and Rick Nowels, with photography provided by Caroline ‘Chuck’ Grant (Lana’s sister). “Tropico” will premiere in several cities and the dates will be posted soon. In the meantime, check the official poster here.

Lana Del Rey nominated for MTV VMAS 2013

Lana Del Rey is nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards this year in the categories of «Best Cinematography» with the music video of «Ride» and «Best Art Direction» with «National Anthem».

The fans can’t vote for these two categories because they are chosen by the judge panel. The winners will be announced on August 25, 2013, in Brooklyn, New York.

Lana Del Rey to perform in Brazil

Brazil, your waiting is over! Lana Del Rey will perform at Planeta Terra Festival 2013, at Campo de Marte, in São Paulo, on November 9, 2013 (Saturday).

The tickets will be in exclusive pre-sale on July 22 (Monday) at 0:01 am until July 24 (Wednesday) at 11:59 pm on Tickets for Fun, for clients of Ourocard. All the other fans can buy their entries on July 26 (Friday) at 0:01 am. The prices will be between R$ 150 to R$ 350.
