Lana Del Rey ranked at #45 on NME’s list “50 Best Albums Of 2012” with “Born To Die“. You are able to read below a little review of the album:
Some of the sprightlier stuff sits awkwardly, but Del Rey’s ballads pull deftly at a strain of American gothic that runs through performers like Roy Orbison and Bobbie Gentry, and nail the warped sense of nostalgia that’s been in the air recently in a way a thousand wafty shoegaze revisionists could only dream of. And that’s no mean feat.

With the release of the Born To Die Paradise Edition and the Paradise EP, Lana Del Rey is coming back in worldwide charts : 77,000 albums of the Paradise Edition has been sold in all the world last week, and so 2,574,000 in 42 weeks. Lana sold too 76,000 EP of Paradise in 1st week !
In US, the Paradise EP is #10 in 1st week with 67,000 copies sold. The BTD Paradise Edition album is #37 (+42) and 16,000 copies : So Lana sold 409,000 albums there in 42 weeks.
The EP isn’t release in UK, but with the Paradise Edition, the album was #8 (+30) last week with 26,123 copies sold, and #21 this week with 13,651 copies (633,861 albums in 43 weeks).
The Paradise Edition was #5 in Ireland, #6 in New-Zealand, #7 in Switzerland, #18 in Australia, #26 in Sweden, #40 In Nederlands, etc. In France (#12) 7,800 copies has been sold (298,000 in 42 weeks).
“Ride” is #32 in UK with 10,411 copies sold. The single is #44 in Germany, #20 in Switzerland, #35 in Ireland, #63 in Austria, #40 in Denmark,etc.
