“I’ve making videos since I was seventeen I was originally discollecting vintage hmmm… footages from different archives and setting moving pictures  to classical music clips that meant a lot to me. Maybe there were places I have been where nice things have happened. I had a vision of making my life a work of art and I was looking for people who also felt that way.”

“My mum and my dad they both like to sing they have really nice voices and my sister and my brother actually they are good singers too. I’ve been really blessed actually more than most to have a really good people around me.”

“I am usually always singing about the same god damn person so I will love him forever but you know, it’s all good. It’s all good! “

MySpace: How do you find love?
Lana: “Like I just look for someone who makes me feel like life is an exciting opportunity and you know just like to be alive. Someone who makes me feel like electric. I mean in general you know is just nice to be loving and have others around you being loving too so…”

MySpace: What would you say to your fans?
Lana:“Find someone who has a life that you want and figure out how they got it, read books, pick your role model as wisely and find what they did and do it.”

MySpace: What would you say to all the haters?
Lana: “I don’t think I would say anything.”

Ha­ters are gonna hate. The re­a­lity for an ar­tist is that not everyone is going to love what you make. Not every­body is going to un­ders­tand where you are co­ming from. The ar­tist should not have an­xiety or be ner­vous about the mas­sive steps that con­front and carry her forward into an unk­nown world of fast-​paced scru­tiny and li­mi­tless jud­ge­ment. Lana Del Rey is a be­au­tiful, shy and in­tri­cate human being with a me­a­ningful and sultry voice that con­nects both emo­ti­o­nally and vis­ce­rally. Her style is im­pec­cable and her pre­sence re­so­nates with both cu­ri­o­sity and con­fi­dence. The “Video Games” single that met with so much love pushed her into the world. She has only had a few shows to cap­ture her per­sonal me­lo­dies in a pu­blic pre­sen­ta­tion that mat­ches who she is. This is about sup­por­ting ar­tists in their fu­ture. We should be there for their best and most chal­len­ging mo­ments as they grow into their full po­ten­tial. How did it feel to sing on live TV?
It felt OK. The cast and crew said they loved it. I know some people didn’t like it, but that’s just the way I perform, and my fans know that.

Are you comfortable onstage?
I’m nervous. I’m not a natural performer or exhibitionist. When I was younger, I hated the focus, and it made me feel strange.

The backlash to that performance has been pretty harsh.
There’s backlash about everything I do. It’s nothing new. When I walk outside, people have something to say about it. It wouldn’t have mattered if I was absolutely excellent. People don’t have anything nice to say about this project. I’m sure that’s why you’re writing about it.

Have I given you the impression that I don’t like your music? I do! Especially the song “Radio.”
No. I don’t know how you feel about it. It’s not easy to gauge how people feel about it. I don’t really want to go into it. But thank you, I love “Radio” too.
