Singer-songwriter and model Sky Ferreira (who once covered “Blue Jeans“) took to Instagram on November 30 to voice her opinion on the hate she gets about her appearance, which from her knowledge mostly comes from “youngish” males and females.
Ferreira notes that there is no percect or ideal woman and she is either “too thin, too fat, too dumb, too vapid, too troubled, too fake, too boring, too happy, too sad etc” meaning she cannot please everyone and she shouldn’t have to.
In the post, she tagged a few celebrities including Lana Del Rey, arguing that women like herself and Lana should not have to be okay with dealing with the harrassment, abuse and other negative content. “It’s not part of our job. Our job is to simply create stuff.”
