Lana Del Rey performed at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California on February 15. As usual, Kali Uchis opened the show, but Lana mixed things up a little by playing “West Coast” for the first time on this tour. Lana also sung a snippet of “Get Free” and brought back “Serial Killer”.

Whilst Lana was meeting her fans at the barrier, she gave some of her famous gold heart necklaces away to a few lucky fans. Watch the video here!

During “Get Free”, Lana got emotional listening to her fans sing the song back to her.

Lana recently talked about what this song means to her in an interview for World Cafe. She explained the “I’m doing it all for us” lyric is for Amy [Winehouse] and Whitney [Houston]; two of the names she has tattooed on her collar bone. She added “it’s about people who don’t get to reach their full potential because they let controlling people stop them from being free.”

Lana’s sister Chuck was also in attendance at the show. Be sure to check out Chuck’s Instagram story for footage from the concert!

On February 13, Lana Del Rey performed at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, with Kali Uchis as her opening act. Lana sang snippets of ‘Terrence Loves You’ and ‘Get Free’ towards the end of the show. Someone asked if she’d sing ‘Angels Forever, Forever Angels’ and Lana responded with “Angels Forever? Are you kidding?!”

Chris shared that the pit at the front was so bad that Lana’s personal security had to stop people from shoving. Lana mouthed to them “I’m so sorry.”

Of the pit, Chase Connolly tells us “multiple people passed out” and the shoving was so continuous that it made him “practically miss the first two songs”. However, he adds that it calmed down after that.

Chase also explains that Lana sang ‘White Mustang’ whilst laying on the piano with her legs up. “After ‘White Mustang’ she sang an a cappella snippet of the song and said “sorry, I’m feeling myself tonight””.

Before she sung ‘Yayo’, Lana explained some background to the song: “This is a song I really like to do about an old friend of mine who isn’t with us anymore. His name was Rob and we used to live, uh, well I lived in New Jersey, he lived in a different part of New Jersey. I remember one day he came back with the most giant snake on his back and I was like, “what the hell did you do??” It’s funny, like, within 10 minutes – I couldn’t really play chords, so I sort of made up my own chords, and I wrote a little song for him.”

Ed Masley wrote a smashing review of Lana’s performance for AZ Central, explaining that her Lana Del Rey persona was in “full effect” as she was “channeling Brigitte Bardot” in her fishnet stockings.

Masley also took note of how considerate Lana is of her fans: “Del Rey did something I have never seen at an arena. She spent the next eight to 10 minutes signing autographs, posing for selfies and accepting flowers, notes and presents from the fans down front, who camped out overnight to score those spots.”

On February 11, Lana Del Rey performed at the Frank C Erwin Special Events Center in Austin, Texas as part of her LA to the Moon Tour. Kali Uchis wasn’t with her for this date, but will be back on the next dates.

For this show, Lana sang ‘Million Dollar Man’. She let the audience sing back to her the “someone as dangerous, tainted and flawed as you”, and Lana said “that’s right – that’s what he was.” Lana also sang some of ‘Art Deco‘.

Some fans requested she sing her unreleased song ‘Wayamaya‘, and Lana said she will do it in Hawaii. “I’ll do it down there! That’s a good idea!” ‘Wayamaya’ is about Waimea Bay in Hawaii.

Susie Q also gave Lana a Valentine’s Day card and gift. In response, Lana said “And I was so worried I wasn’t gonna get a Valentine’s this year”, before thanking Susie.

Lana Del Rey performed at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on February 10 with Kali Uchis as her opening act. Lana didn’t change up the setlist too much during this show, but she did bring back “Serial Killer”.

Mandy made a scrapbook of Lana’s shows to give to Lana. During the show, Lana tried to get the scrapbook which she noticed in the crowd, but the security guards were trying to prevent Lana from getting it. Lana wasn’t happy and told them to let her get it, saying “I get my books!” Someone caught the incident on video.

We interviewed Mandy about the scrapbook and what really happened with the security, and Mandy was kind enough to share her experience.

How did you become a fan of Lana Del Rey? Do you remember the first song you heard of hers?
Mandy: The first song I ever heard by Lana was ‘Summertime Sadness’ when I was really young. I actually became a fan through Stan Twitter; a lot of my mutuals stanned her so I checked her out and immediately fell in love.

What is your favourite album by Lana Del Rey?
Mandy: My favourite album is ‘Born to Die’ just because I have so many memories listening to that album. It reminds me of some of the happiest times of my life.

How many times have you seen Lana live?
Mandy: DC and Houston (of the LA to the Moon Tour) were actually my first two times seeing Lana ever, and both experiences were more amazing than I ever could’ve imaged. I don’t think I had ever been so happy!

What inspired you to create the scrapbook for Lana? Did it take you long to put together?
Mandy: I actually just randomly thought of the idea for the scrapbook! I really wanted Lana to have a way to look back on the tour in the future, and remember all the happy times she had. I knew it would mean a lot to her. Also, it took me about 9-10 hours to put it together, but it was so worth it!

What happened with the security when you tried to give Lana the scrapbook? What did Lana say?
Basically when Lana saw the scrapbook she came down to take it, but security didn’t want the crowd handing her gifts so she went OFF and was like, “What’s the problem? I want the fucking book!” It was amazing!

What has been the aftermath of this entire experience? How do you feel?
Mandy: The aftermath of this experience was INCREDIBLE! I could not believe she followed me and posted the book and everything. It means so much to me. I love her so much, I don’t think I’ll ever recover!
